Do one workout that you will never forget during this ECQ. That’s the tip from our 2019 Kona Finisher Gerard Reyes.
Yesterday, on the 28th day of the Expanded Community Quarantine due to the Covid 19 virus, Gerard biked 180kms and ran 42kms – the full bike-run distance of a full Ironman. He wanted one workout that will standout during the ECQ. “It’s one way of staying fit during theECQ but on a more meaningful note” says Gerard.
Gerard, who is also a certified Ironman Triathlon Coach , further advises that “It’s also a way of mentally getting through the ECQ; having a personal goal kasi parang may pinaghahandaan mga tao…so, kung may goal sila towards the end of theECQ, they can make a day to day program leading to their big day…para may direksyon…hindi parang headless chicken running around or having routinary workouts na hindi developmental”
